DSME has proven technology in construction acquired from building various large-scale industrial facilities including vessel block factories, painting shops, vessel engine factories, and other commercial projects such as large business complexes, Build Transfer Lease (BTL), research facilities, and concert halls. The Ocean Plaza, a large business complex with recreation facilities and a waterfront park, which was built by DSME in Ockpo-dong, Geoje city, in 2011 has become a landmark and the pride of 230,000 residents in Geoje city.
