Business Area
We aim to keep the growth engine going through diversification
into new businesses
As the leader of EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation), DSME provides customized technology and commercial solutions for onshore plants as well as crude oil and gas explorations.
Having large ship companies like Odebrecht and Petroserv as its clients, DSME has expanded to harness strong
growth potential of Brazilian market with its unique model, DSME 10000 drip ship and semi-submersible rigs, GVA 7500.
The company strives to cultivate talents to develop core technology for both qualitative and quantitative growth.
Based on its proven technological capability, DSME also provides various cutting edge technology for onshore plants, such as thermal power
stations that use gas, coal, and oil,
power plants that use Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) technology, and oil refineries.

Optimal Combination of Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering
DSME has both shipbuilding and offshore engineering businesses in its shipyards. The company's 900-ton goliath cranes and dry docks that are capable of building hulls of up to 12 m in width provide optimal conditions to build floating offshore plant products such as FPSOs and FPUs. Utilizing extensive plant, submarine, and battle ship building technology, the upper and lower portions of a floating plant facility are made in the streamlined production lines and then loaded by a large crane to complete the facility. Owing to the solid technological foundation gained from underwater exploration technology and relevant marine analysis technology, the company has recently built and delivered the Pazflor FPSO which is the world's largest floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
